Eyelet Infinity Scarf Free Knitting Pattern

Free knitting pattern for an easy eyelet Infinity Scarf styled on a mannequin.

The Eyelet Infinity Scarf: A Free Knitting Pattern

I think this was the very first free knitting pattern I published on Ravelry back in 2016, and I completely forgot to post it here! I knit a new one of these every year, but to be honest, I never got around to updating the pattern for everyone until now.

I just finished making the version shown in the picture, and I still absolutely love it.

Like most of my knitting patterns, this scarf features a lovely lace stitch (my absolute favorite), and the best part is that it looks pretty on both sides! It’s a perfect accessory for any season because it is incredibly versatile. Years ago, I knit one in a lightweight bamboo yarn that made a beautiful, breezy spring scarf.

Customizing Your Scarf

While the directions below show how to make three specific circumferences, you can easily customize this to any size you want—any even number of stitches will work! It is worked in the round and features a simple, mindless 6-round repeat. I made my scarf 10 inches wide, but you can definitely make yours skinnier or wider depending on your preference. It’s a very easy, relaxing project that is great for all skill levels.

Want a printable version? If you prefer a PDF file to print out, you can find it over in my Ravelry store. Please note that the PDF version uses a different yarn than the one pictured here, though both are medium-weight yarns.

One quick note about yardage before you cast on: Every time I knit a new version of this scarf, I end up using a slightly different amount of yarn, even when making the exact same size! I tend to knit a bit loose, especially when working a lace stitch, so the yardages listed below are estimates. Your actual yardage may vary depending on your tension.
